Also new, are these crazy red velvet matchstick pants that I have been wanting from J.Crew this holiday season (below). They were on extra-sale when I went to spend a gift card I got for Christmas. Happy day! Plus, I had to wear them for this wardrobe remix photo, as they almost match my new glasses! PS: sorry about not wearing any shoes (I probably wont be wearing shoes in my remix photos for awhile now), wet boots are not good for clomping around the house in.
new (vintage) glasses: frames thrifted from Value Village, lenses from Visionary Optical in Uptown
vintage wool sweater: thrifted from Savers
denim shirt underneath: Target
striped tank underneath underneath (peeking out!): H&M
red velvet matchstick pant: J.Crew, bought with an xmas gift certificate!
wool socks: Target? borrowed from the boy...

Wow, you pretty much found the perfect pair of glasses! A much better story than my "oh, I got them at Warby Parker" deal, too. As a side note, I am so very excited to have found your blog, as I am new to Minneapolis and happy to read some local blogs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa! You are so sweet! (I do ALSO have Warby Parkers, haha!) Welcome welcome welcome to Minneapolis/Saint Paul! So glad to have you here. Hope to meet you sometime at one of our Blogger meetups!

Thanks so much for the Twin Cities welcome! I didn't know about the local blogger meetups -- is there a certain place to go for more info? I'm super-excited about meeting new, blog-minded folks here!
ReplyDeleteThere isnt a website, but I will be sure to invite you to the next one I hear of. They'll be all over the local blogs, dont worry! Have you gone to Erin's blog (http://babesinthriftland.blogspot.com/), Megan and Nora's (http://twobirdsboutique.blogspot.com/), Maria's (http://www.hickoryandjuniper.com/), Lindsay's (http://www.rubygirlblog.com/) or Amanda's (http://salvagedstrawberry.blogspot.com/) yet? That's a good start!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, thanks on all accounts! I'm stopping by all the blogs now -- Twin Cities ladies are writing some great things!
