I dont have much to share tonight, except that I just got home from the first of what will be many late nights at work, and am eating my favorite pizza, from Uptown Pizza, with artichokes! Good thing I got my Halloween party-time self all worn out on Saturday night! Alex and I hosted it at our place again this year, and let's just say that I got all Star Wars-ed out. Here's the playlist for proof of good-times.

I'll leave you all with this hauntingly beautiful claymation video with an equally haunting and beautiful score, found via Teenangster. It's called "Mound" by Allison Schulnik. I've seriously watched it several times now just to watch different characters faces and things going on in the background. ITS SO AMAZING AND I CANT LOOK AWAY.

Since I love them all so much, I decided to do a quick post about the pieces I snagged at the clothing swap a couple of weeks ago! It seemed like I had a fashion affinity with both Maria and Nora the most that particular day. Also, there are a few that I do not know who they came from, if you want to chime in out there!! I love knowing the history of an item. Thanks you guys, I had an awesome time!!!

The perfect sundress from Maria:

A b/w checkered dress from Emma!

Cashmere wrap sweater from Nora:

Amazing denim trousers from Nora:

A fur-collared jacket from Maria:

And the best find, a vintage wool peacoat! That I am in love with! ALSO FROM NORA!

I also have some striped espadrilles, the perfect black mini skirt and a cozy oversized sweater to try out (not pictured)!

Went to the vintage clothing and textiles fair with Emma and Erin last weekend. It was an amazing event, as always! Thanks Erin, for taking my outfit photo, and for spotting that great door for the background. I love it so much!

dress: vintage, from Blacklist Vintage
scarf: F21, I think?
shoes: Urban clearance
leather satchel: vintage, thrifted

And some iPhone photos, for good measure! (after the jump)

Ralph Lauren's new collection lookbook, in the style of 1930's-40's documentary photography. They are so ridiculously authentic, I didnt even see the difference at first! Also, I want that plaid jacket!

I am still obsessed with them somehow. It all started in the spring with the advent of seasonal light colors and florals, and here I am, still pinning them! Look!

Anywho, all of these are from ASOS, where I just placed an order during their fall season sale. Yes! I can't wait for them to come in the mail. So that I can show you them!!!

I almost forgot! Ladies, the annual (twice annual?) Vintage Fair at the MN State Fairgrounds is this weekend, Friday and Saturday October 14th and 15th, if you have never been before! Emma and I are scrambling to find a time to go. And I suggest you do the same! It has been super great in the past. Super. Plus, if you wear vintage, you get $1 off admission!

Here is my blog post (mostly photos) from when Emma and I went two years ago!
Initially, I was trying to think of a good Halloween costume that would require dying my hair a pale pale pink. And now, I am thinking that I might just have to do it anyways! I've been looking for a change, and this is definitely a change! What do you think, could I pull something like this off (assumed-parental-heart-attacks-aside)?

I think I would do something list this.!

Also this is awesome!

My pinterest boards have been exploding with Fall inspiration lately. And when I pin outfits, I tend to use a lot of images that remind me of a piece I already own, and give me some new ideas of how to style them (do you guys do that too?). For instance, I have a wide leg jean, some button ups, a striped dress, and a winter sweater like the ones pictured below. But there are also some images of pieces that are on my wishlist for this fall, including a colored pant, the perfect blouse, black heeled booties and patterned tights. Images are pulled from various collections and online shops (sources below).

The fall fashion show at Blacklist on Tuesday night went so well! I did get nervous at one point on stage, and couldnt find my pockets for a few seconds! Oh well, it was such a minor problem. I am just so so thankful that I didnt fall! So far, there is only this one picture of me modeling on the internet, and I look sort of pissed! Luckily, Emma captured a few iPhone photos that are a little better. I will see if I cant get them from her soon. Also, here's a great write-up of the event from Jahna Peloquin, Twin Cities Fashion expert, on the L'etoile Magazine blog! More soon.

EDIT: More reviews and photos here, here, here, here, and HERE. Here is one taken by Emma that I LOVE! I look like a fashionable blur! Thanks Emma!

I might have one more post left after this (only one week left of the CSA share, boo), but here's the bulk of what we've been cooking for the last few weeks! Thanks Turnip Rock, I love your veggies!

Sauteed Sweet Onion, Patty Pan Squash and Green Pepper

Sweet Corn and Sizzled Green Beans with Bacon and Pine Nuts (so easy and so delicious!)

Another yummy Tomato Sauce with Basil and lots of Parmesan

Fresh Tomato Salsa (I used lots of cilantro and lime, and made three jars of it! It was so nice to have on hand when people came over, or as a little snack)

A delicious mix of grilled Squash and Carrots, with garlic and ginger (I didnt use a recipe with this one, I just knew I wanted them gingery, and yes we totally ate them with fish sticks!)

We had so many heads of garlic that we chopped it all up and canned it with a little olive oil, for use later! AWESOME.
