Guys, here are some of the delicious recipes I have been making recently with our weekly CSA share from Turnip Rock! My favorite place to look up recipes is the Smitten Kitchen, but some are from elsewhere on the web as well. All of the fruits, veggies, and herbs have come from our share, can you believe it?! Oh what a delicious summer it has been, and this is just the beginning!
Fresh Green Garlic Pesto with Blanched Fresh Broccoli over Linguine
Sauteed Yellow Zucchini with Green Onion and Garlic over Spaghetti
Spicy Collard Greens eaten with Fingerling Potatoes, Cornbread and Applesauce for dessert!
Roasted Zucchini (self explanatory), with plenty of olive oil, salt and pepper, Red Cabbage slaw with Green Onion
Cucumber with Red Onion and Dill Salad
Buttermilk Broccoli Slaw (OMG SO YUMMY)
and a Classic Creamy Slaw with Red Cabbage instead of Green, served with Grilled Rosemary Chicken for Alex
Fresh Sweet Corn with a Simple Tomato, Onion and Cucumber salad, I also added some Fresh Parsley
Basil and Zucchini Strand Pasta, with Parmesan
THREE Loaves of Zucchini Bread with dried cranberries (And that's in one sitting. I am swimming in zucchini, guys!)
Grilled Root Vegetables (beet, sweet onion, zucchini, and patty pan squash)
And the piece de resistance, an amazing homemade Tomato Sauce
And I even have leftovers!
