I have been having some good luck people. And while these few things below are from awhile back, I do have another post up my sleeve featuring vintage finds from a warehouse sale recently! Everything below is from the Savers, except for the lovely yellow 30's silk dress which I got at that flea market for $10! And the red leather SAS sandals, which were a gift from my dearest friend Emma, ISNT SHE THE BEST?!

I promise I wont turn this blog into a "how the wedding planning is going" blog. I PROMISE. But bear with me when I say that actually, getting inspiration for the wedding has actually opened up my eyes to a whole new world of note-worthy blogs! Cute crafty DIY blogs, party planning blogs, wedding apparel and fashion blogs, photographer's blogs, the list goes on! I've gained SO MUCH inspiration from some of these, I almost (definitely) have too many ideas that I would like to include in our wedding day (and everyday!). Its amazing! And so, I've made a few - what I am going to call - virtual inspiration boards, for what Alex and I are picturing our day to look and feel like, so that it can easily be translated to planners, mothers, vendors, and friends (pictures speak a thousand more words, dudes).

Here is what we want: a casual, intimate, picnic-style party. It will be outdoors, family style, and very homegrown (I know a LOT of artists you guys).

Proper photo credits tonight, when I am near my bookmarks! (I apologize PROFUSELY, and in advance, if I get anything wrong/forget anyone)!

**And SPEAKING OF weddings, Alex and I are now among the top three couples at Photogen-Inc to win their annual wedding photography/videography giveaway! If you're so inclined, go on over to their blog and vote for us!!!! We would be eternally grateful to you for your support. (Voting ends at 7am CST on Friday July 16th)**
The lovely Emma and I went to a flea market on the 4th of July. It was awesome and we both came away with what we were looking for! (and saw an awful lot more that we could have bought too!) OBSERVE.

DID YOU SEE that amazing dress up there?!?! That wonderful peachy gauzy number?? From the 30's?! I did too, and I didnt buy it (obviously, it was wayyy out of my price range). THE RUFFLES PEOPLE, THEY KILL ME.

I found one that is perfect for me. It is small and doesnt make me look like I have no hair/a baby when I wear it! I know I'm really hoppin on the boater wagon pretty late in the game, but I didnt really think I wanted one. They're cute and all, and whenever I see them, I do think they're cute, but I just never thought I would wear one. But now that I've found one that suits me, I cant wait to wear it to the beach, and on walks around the lake with my baaaabes! (ps: walks around the lake, when you live right by one, are the best thing ever.) Thanks Lula Vintage, for this hat and the best shorts ever, that I will also share very soon I am sure!

CUTE STRAW HAT: vintage, purchased from Lula's today!
tank: hand me down from my good friend and old roommate Katie!
cardigan: years and years old, maybe Target?
jeans: Urban, denim sale
sandals: vintage, thrifted from Everyday People!

(pps: I love my new wardrobe remix spot, I get to take portraits with our gold radiator and rock band drums...)

Not apartment inspiration this time, or fashion inspiration, but a little peek into some recent things that have been happening in my life! Friends visiting, summertime in full swing, parks, nail polish, new wardrobe remix spots, food and lots of good times. I hope the whole summer (and the whole year) keeps going as well as this!

How have your summers been going? Well I hope! And I hope you all have fun (and safe) plans for the fourth! We dont have anything planned yet, I hope to just lay around the beach this weekend and make homemade pizza from scratch on Monday! It really is the simple things....

Also, as we were laying in bed this morning, not wanting to get up, Alex pointed out to me that this wil be our last Anniversary before we are married! Next year, the number will start over! I am very excited.
