Alex and I have been together for almost 9 years now, can you believe it? I couldnt begin to imagine a life without him. And its strange, being used to celebrating another year and another year of being together, to celebrating month by month of marriage, and finally 1 single year all over again. On Memorial Day, after a whirlwind weekend in which a couple of our friends stayed at our apartment with us (more on that later), we celebrated our very first year of Marriage!

We went to Meritage in St. Paul (which I have had on my list to go to forevarrrr) and it was delicious. I had escargots, a variety of oysters (yum) and a 1/2 lobster. They even brought us a little champagne on the house to celebrate! Alex gave me an awesome necklace with a fleur-de-lis on it (!) and I gave him a pair of Left Field selvedge denim jeans from Black Blue.

This past year has flown by for us, but it still feels like such an amazing milestone. Alex makes me happier every single day I spend with him, and I could be more giddy (read: Barffffff!) about it.

UM Have you guys seen this yet?? Go to the sartorial twist immediately. It is endlessly entertaining (and quite inspiring, I might add!).

Y'all, now that that MASSIVE blogger template debacle is taken care of, I can finally show you the first roll of film I got back from shooting with a new (vintage) camera I got fixed awhile ago (note: there is a Christmas tree in one of these pictures!). It's called a Canon Demi S, and I am totally in love with it. It's a half-frame camera, which means that it shoots two vertical photos per 35mm frame, giving you twice the photos per roll of film! Plus, it's really cool to see how the photos line up, creating funny little diptychs.

I was worried that the old camera wouldnt wind perfectly anymore, which would mean that each photo would be off a bit, and that the frames wouldnt line up properly when scanned in (I go to Walgreens for all of my 35mm needs, so I'm never quite sure that the machine wont eat my film or screw them up, but so far so good!), but I neednt have worried, they turned out so so great didnt they?!

These are some of my favorites so far. Oh, and dont worry, I am so totally in love with this tiny camera that I brought it with me to California! (COUGH THAT NEW HEADER MIGHT BE A SNEAK PEEK COUGH COUGH) I'll be sharing some of those images soon.  I'll definitely be bringing it with me wherever I go from now on. As usual, more on my Flickr!

Hey dudes and dudettes, I know I promised a full template switch by now, but I am having trouble figuring out how to move all of that garbage at the bottom of the page back to the right sidebar. I've tried several things to fix it, and while my software-engineer-husband says that its not gonna happen and that I'll have to try another template with a sidebar built into it, I just dont have the heart to start all over from scratch AGAIN. Anybody out there have similar troubles at one point? Help a sister out?

In the meantime, I'll keep trying. Hopefully we'll get this son-of-a-bitch working soon.

You guys, I still cannot believe that the commenting issue has not been resolved. Even after my multiple attempts to understand and fix the problem (thanks again for the heads up, Kimi!). Rest assured that this is my number one priority (which will probably involve an entire template switcheroo, dangit) AFTER I get back from cali next week. Yes! My best girl Angie and I are going to visit my best girl Katie in LA this weekend! I am hoping that it gets warmer out there, because seriously... I need a sunny vacation. And dont worry, Ill be taking plenty of film photos as usual, and will be posting on instagram. You can keep tabs on me there until I get back and I hunker down to get this fixed.

To all of you out there who follow my blog (I know there are a few of you... ), thank you for being there for me despite not being able to comment. And please, when I do get this thang figured out, introduce yourself! I cant wait to meet all of you guys. :D

PS: Isnt that polaroid of us three up there pretty much the best ever for this post? It was taken during the most awesome girls getaway weekend last Spring. Love you girls (EMMA YOURE IN THERE TOO DUH OMG)!
