I haven't been taking many wardrobe remix pictures lately, and have felt bad about that. It makes me feel like Im not wearing anything work documenting (yeesh!) But the ones I have taken are all work outfits, and I dont share much about that, so here goes!

I'm pretty lucky in that I dont have to wear business formal or even business casual to work. Most peopl have a dress code like that, but since I work at an art school and in a department that gets our hands (sometimes really) dirty, I get to wear jeans. Everyday. I do try to look nice though, in order to maintain some kind of authority over the students I work with and just in case I have meetings to attend last minute. Here is a pretty good glimpse at my average work wear.

And to be honest, if I go out at night after work, I ofter just slap on some lipstick to dress up my outfit, and call it good!

Speaking of work, I have had a pretty long week. I am exhausted. We are nearing the end of the school semester, so I've got my hands full at work, and probably will for another week or so. Also, my husband is out of town, attending a bachelor party road trip to The South (which I am actually a bit jealous of). So I have some time to myself this week! Last night I went to two art openings and a friends' show at the 400 bar. Staying out late with friends is amazingly fun and therapeutic, even when your feet hurt and your head doesnt hit the pillow until 3am.

Today I went to an Antiques Show and Flea Market at the fairgrounds by myself, which I was so glad to get to do, but alas didnt find ONE SINGLE THING that I would want to purchase (what??). Everything seemed pretty measly and overpriced, except for this amazing booth of vintage kilim and turkish hand-woven rugs. YOU GUYS, I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT THEM. Unfortunately, they were understandably well out of my price range, but I ogled and felt them all up and chatted with the nice rug man anyways... le sighhhh.

Tonight I was hoping to meet up with some buddies instead of spend a Saturday night at home, but it looks like the jammy pants are officially going on, and I am officially in for the night. Ahhh, cant wait to listen to all of the drunk (getting rained on) people out in Uptown tonight... Well no matter, because I have a beer and Charmed on Netflix, and about 2,000 1920's dresses to peruse on eBay. Sounds like a great night to me!

My college friends and I have an Easter Tradition. An elaborate brunch at the home of Chance's parents' on Summit Avenue. I think it all started since most of my friends are from out of state and dont have family to celebrate the holiday with, and my family never really celebrated it. And so we all get together instead, I think we've been doing it for 4 (5?) years now, and it is probably my favorite tradition of all time.

This years brunch was delicious, as always! There was Baked Buttermilk French Toast, obligatory glazed ham, Party Potatoes, Sweet Potato biscuits with Sage and Shallot butter, Spinach and Egg Strata, Grilled Sugared Grapefruit, coffee cake, punch, and for dessert, pound cake with fruit and chocolate ganache, easter sugar cookies and a FAMOUS Ben's Homemade Ice Cream: Sesame and Orange!

Here are some images from that day, since I just couldnt stop taking them (most are Instagram, some are photoshopped)! Afterwards, we went for a walk and to the park to shoot some hoops and work off all of those pounds of food we ate, it was such a lovely day to be outside!

I wore this outfit about a week ago, before the weather started to plummet from the 70s to the 40s and 50s. I am so happy that it is finally springtime! I cant event tell you. I dont even mind the temperature shifting, that's pretty normal for a Minnesota spring. Im just glad its finally here! So I thought I'd show you a nice spring outfit I wore recently.

Some of my favorite outfits are a good mishmash of new, vintage, thrifted and/or swapped. This outfit is also a pretty good example of how they can all work together to create a really good (modern?) outfit.

tshirt: J.Crew, Emma's from the swap!
skirt: vintage Liz Claiborne, Mighty Swell Vintage!
leather belt: vintage, thrifted

I am just loving the "My Better Half" Series going on over at Amanda Jane Jones' blog. Sweet so sweet, oh my god!

Sorry I've been pretty MIA from the blog lately. I have nothing very exciting to report. I have however, been eating some great food, hanging with great friends, and other boring stuff like that. So here's a little instagram round-up of what my life has looked like these past few weeks. A Handsome Husband, some rollerskating (or lack-there-of), manicures, a little thrifting here and there, and beers from India, oh my!

PS: I've also started doing Ballet Beautiful (that's another thing off of my new year's checklist, woo-hoo!). Has anyone else tried it? (except you, Miss Carla) It is really kicking my ass. Seriously, the first two days I could barely walk, my butt hurt so much. I hate that I knew I was out of shape, but I didnt realize I was that out of shape. The exercises have been getting gradually easier though, which is so cool!
