Today is my 200th wardrobe remix picture. I probably would never have noticed, just as I hadn't noticed my 100th blog post, but I happened to be linking to my flickr today and noticed that it said 199 items in my w_r folder. aha! so this one had to be good.

I got this blue 50's dress at the aforementioned mcad-party-garage sale awhile back and needed to hem the poor chopped-off thing before wearing it (I am also thinking about switching out the cute little bow-buttons for a more grown-up set. Alex said it looks like a 10 year old girl should be wearing it). I finally got around to doing that today when I REALIZED it was still hanging behind the closet door. Also, new shoes. Perfect for 200.

dress: vintage, from garage sale
cardigan: ON
belt: thrifted, Goodwill
tights: Target?
new shoes: chiao bella, from DSW
here are some stylish ladies that i've been gathering some summer inspiration from. summer thigh-high socks with light sheer dresses, i've already mentioned nude platform heels with a bold dress, still craving those rodarte-style leggings, tights with jean shorts will still work for chillier summer days, and stripes with scarfs for a nautical feel.

Nautical, floral, sheer and light. That's what I want.

pics c/o: yes yes, The Vintage Society, Park&Cube, and og i forget where i got the last two... i think im just blanking. does anyone know?

I just now realized that Tricia over at Bits + Bobbins has recently featured some of my Wardrobe Remix pictures on her weekly "best of w_r" post. How flattering! And I didn't even have the decency to notice!! Plus, a fellow minneapoline Sal commented on that last post and said I looked "rad." Awesome.

I've also been thinking of doing a similar weekly or bi-weekly inspiration post. Not necessarily of w_r exclusively, but of the pictures I collect for myself across the blog-o-sphere... which I do already! Stay tuned for more, this could be good.

ps isnt my hair just so LONG in the last one?!? weird.

Is definitely the fanciest and most fun flea market I have ever been to. Emma called me last minute and asked me if I wanted to hop over, I accepted and I do not regret it!

First of all, there was free wine and beverages! So we sipped our chardonnay and walked around the bountiful pickins from lots of local vendors and antique shops (such as Hunt and Gather, one of my favorites!), lookin for goodies for our new and exciting soon-to-be etsy shop (that's a surprise, stay posted for more!). No goodies, but plenty of things we wish we could have gotten for ourselves:

We also found a silly swimcap that needed to be photographed on my head immediately:

And then we gladly petted our very favorite neighborhood kitty, Yo-yo-meow, when we got home (yes, that is what it says on his name tag! Isnt that cute?!). Yo-yo looks angry in the picture (he is a pretty scrappy kitty and wins all of deh fights), but he is actually very friendly and meowy! All in all, it was a good day.

The local street style blog The Minneapoline, is being featured on the random Japanese Fashion Blog called "Jamool Style." And with that feature, one of my guest sessions! It looks like they really liked you and your rainbow sneaks, Bill...

You can also vote for something, I'm not sure what.

I know I know, it's really blonde. But for me it was wayyyy past due. Hooray for summertime, and me dreaming about being as cool as Agyness Deyn!

Oh my gosh, bare legs and sunny skies! It has been so beautiful out lately, Minnesota!!! This wonderful weather is making me want to update my currently-very-winter-wardrobe with some springier things. Check out my running wish-list below. Items include floral print skirts and dresses, stretchy slinky dresses, and a pair of nude platform heels like Beth's (from the Vintage Society).

pics c/o: Clever Nettle's Estate Sale Etsy Shop (I LOVE this girl btw, I'm thinking of stealing her haircut!) Modcloth, Urban Outfitters, Go Jane.com

In other, possibly maybe as exciting news, I have several new things on the blog! 1) Bloglovin! In the sidebar! Check it out! 2) A works section, sites and organizations I have done blogging and/or photography for 3) My current top favorite blogs. That way you know which ones I actually for reals read everyday (thanks to my Bloglovin!) and 4) Lots of new sites and blogs I've been reading for months but that had not quite made it to the blog-o-reel yet.

There you go! Peace out!

I finally found some doc martins at a garage sale the other day (I say that as if I were actively searching, ha) and I CANT STOP WEARING THEM. This garage sale btw, was a total mcad party. There was live music, a keg and boxes upon boxes of old LPs and cds (i was tempted to get a couple, but then remembered that I purged all of my cds years ago for a GOOD REASON). Hipster central for sure...

Anywho, I've been feeling like this is redemption for when my parents wouldnt buy me docs in middle school because they were too expensive. Ironic that I like them again today, and they were only $3 bucks this time!

Below, see how I have worn them three days in a row now:

SHORTS! ITS FINALLY SHORTS WEATHER! Today, Alex and I are going to have a great day. First we are going to a sweet mcad kids garage sale, then to the park to hang out and eat a picnic lunch/listen to podcasts, and then maybe grab some baking supplies for the biscuits we are going to make for tomorrow's easter brunch! So excited!

Also, I just joined bloglovin! I know everyone has been all over this for awhile now, but its actually really cool now that I see it with my own eyes. You guys should try it out (just click the icon to the right).

I almost forgot to post about the wallpaper at the hotel we stayed at in Chicago a few weeks ago. When I saw this main entryway, I knew IMMEDIATELY that it was going on the blog, and I apologize for it having taken me so long to do so (i know, i know, i have just SO MANY loyal readers...) Isn't the bold pattern of this wallpaper amazing??

But while I'm at it, lets post some other wallpaper beauties that I have been lusting after..
